Deputy PM: Govt has no goal to monopolize access to info data

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 4 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has no intention to monopolize access to information data and is ready to share them with business, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Friday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“The government has no intention to compete with business. The government is ready to share the data it receives. There is no monopoly for the data,” Chernyshenko said.

The government’s coordination center gets feedback via 13 channels about the situation in the country, including search requests, social polls, citizens’ addresses and responses to the government’s actions, he said.

“It’s a new approach to the state management…The management is built on data to see the whole economy, cash registering terminals, and these data are the ground of decision making,” Chernyshenko said.

He also said that it is impossible to reach digitalization without overall access to the Internet.
